An electrochemical treatment that develops the surface of aluminium itself.

A converted surface

Anodizing converts the outer surface of aluminium into an oxide layer through an electrochemical process. It can improve surface hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance while retaining a metallic appearance.

Light and material

The appearance of anodized aluminium depends on the alloy, texture, colouring process and viewing conditions. Natural and coloured finishes can change visually as light moves across the profile.

Choose with samples

Assess physical samples together and agree an acceptable appearance for adjoining elements. Request the supplier's finish specification and cleaning guidance, including protection during construction, so the approved finish carries through to installation.
